Xavier vs. Wisconsin picks for the NCAA Tournament's second round game.
March 19, 2016The Musketeers got a good fight from the 15-seed Weber State Wildcats in the first round, but a balanced scoring effort propelled Xavier to the Round of 32. Even though the Musketeers didn’t win the Big East Tournament, they still pose a serious threat to make the Final Four. Xavier has one of the most balanced offensive attacks in all of college basketball and will be no easy out in the NCAA Tournament.
Wisconsin, meanwhile, defeated the Pitt Panthers, 47-43, in the first round of the NCAA Tournament. No, that is not the halftime score. That is not the score with ten minutes left in the game. That is the final score, and it is far from encouraging for Badgers fans. But despite the underwhelming output, Wisconsin is moving on in hopes of proving that Friday’s scoring performance was just a fluke.
Here are the Campus Insiders Xavier vs. Wisconsin picks.
Wisconsin scored 16 points in the first half against Pitt. They scored 47 points total. So, uh, Xavier wins.
Dear Wisconsin, You scored 47 points to beat Pitt. That won’t work against a physical Xavier team. Muskies win.
Chris Mack has one of the most talented Xavier teams in program history. They not only move on, but I see them in the Elite 8.
Xavier’s balanced scoring overwhelmes Wisconsin.
