Xavier vs. Cincinnati online live stream, TV broadcast information, and predictions. The Musketeers will host the Bearcats in the Cintas Center.
December 12, 2015The Xavier Musketeers (9-0) are technically the home team in Cincinnati, Ohio, but they’re taking on the Cincinnati Bearcats in the Cintas Center to add yet another chapter to the Crosstown Shootout rivalry.
No. 12 Xavier is just now breaking a rankings slump. The Musketeers are ranked for the first time since the 2011-12 season — in spite of two 20-win seasons since joining the Big East two years ago. Xavier will look to stay unbeaten against its rival.
The Bearcats are, again, technically the away team here. But we all know how this rivalry goes. No. 23 Cincinnati bounced back after a loss to Butler by beating Morgan State, 87-66.
Below is everything you need to know about the game, including the Xavier vs. Cincinnati online live stream, TV broadcast information, game notes and prediction.
Octavius Ellis has to balance out Bluiett’s effort with a stellar performance of his own. The difference is that Ellis is obviously going to do his work from the interior. Ellis has been posting an average of 11.0 points and 7.7 rebounds per game, but he may need to come up with a double-double if Cincinnati wants to come out of this one with a win. With Ellis drawing the attention, that should leave Farad Cobb and Troy Caupain open from behind the arc. Defensively, the Bearcats have picked the eighth-most pockets in the nation with 87 steals. That could play a big role in deciding this one, too. Caupain and Gary Clark need to make plays defensively to help get a win.
