2018 defensive end Xavier Thomas enjoyed his Ohio State visit so much he tweeted about it.
Ohio State has a leg up on the competition for the 2017 recruiting class, and now Urban Meyer is trying to get the Buckeyes ahead of the pack for the following year, too.
They hosted 2018 4-star defensive end Xavier Thomas, from Florence, S.C., and his mother for a visit, and judging by Thomas’ tweets, the trip went quite well. He could barely contain his excitement.
Ohio State is paradise man and I am not even halfway through the visit yet #Buckeyes #BuckeyeNation

Meyer even let Thomas’ mother try on some of his jewlery.

Thomas is a 6-foot-4, 255-pound stud of a pass rusher with the ability to fire off the ball out of a three-point stance or while standing up on the edge. He’s a little too high on his swim move, but his quick first step sets up offensive tackles for an inside move to the quarterback.
247Sports lists him as the nation’s No. 4-overall player.
The Buckeyes have two defensive linemen committed in their 2017 class but are still without a commit for 2018.
