Will Grier transfer update. The former Florida Gators quarterback has reportedly met with Ohio State and Miami.

    March 4, 2016

Former Florida quarterback Will Grier has reportedly met with Ohio State and Miami but still hasn’t decided on a transfer destination.

After more than two months of staying out of the national consciousness, Will Grier is starting to come up for air.

One day after a report of Grier visiting West Virginia surfaced, it’s now being reported by The Gainesville Sun’s Graham Hall that the former Florida quarterback has already met with Ohio State and Miami.

‘I’ve also been told he’s met with plenty others, including Ohio State and Miami (FL),’ Hall tweeted.

Grier, who was suspended for a calendar year in October for violating NCAA rules, announced in December he would be transferring from the Gators. The suspension was handed down due to a positive test for a performance-enhancing substance found in an over-the-counter supplement.

The Buckeyes currently have five quarterbacks on their roster, led by J.T. Barrett, and that isn’t even counting 2016 signee Dwayne Haskins Jr – a 4-star prospect out of Potomac, Md.

Then, on the other end of the spectrum, lie the Hurricanes, who have five quarterbacks on their roster. They also signed a 4-star quarterback in the 2016 cycle: Jack Allison out of Palmetto, Fla.

If new Miami head coach Mark Richt allowed Grier to transfer to the Hurricanes, we might be on the verge of a revitalized rivalry between Miami and Florida. On the off chance Urban Meyer welcomes Grier to Ohio State with arms wide open, we may be staring down the barrel of a third World War.

The Will Grier redemption tour just got a little more intriguing.
