Temple was able to stop just about everyone but DeShone Kizer, who ran for a 79-yard touchdown in the second quarter and gave the Irish the lead for good on a 17-yard pass play to Will Fuller with just over two minutes to play. Temple kept hanging around all game long tying the score at 17 in the fourth quarter on a one-yard Jahad Thomas run, and taking the lead on a 36-yard Austin Jones field goal with just under five minutes, left. But Kizer led the way with a six-play, 75-yard drive for the winning score. Temple had one last shot, but KeiVarae Russell came up with an interception to snuff out the final drive. Notre Dame outgained Temple 467 yards to 295, but Tyler Matakevich led the game with 13 tackles with a pick for the Owls.
Player of the Game: Notre Dame QB DeShone Kizer completed 23-of-36 passes for 299 yards and a score with two picks, and ran 17 times for 143 yards and two scores.

Keenan Reynolds ran for two scores and Chris Swain added a team-high 131 yards and a touchdown as Navy took over in the second half to put away the Bulls. USF had a 17-13 lead late in the third quarter after starting out the game with a kickoff return for a score from Rodney Adams and with a two-yard Marlon Mack run, but it was all Navy the rest of the way with Reynolds running for two one-yard touchdowns in the fourth quarter and Austin Grebe hitting a 28-yard field goal for a run of 16 unanswered points. USF finished with just 62 rushing yards and nine first downs – Navy had the ball for over 39 minutes.
Player of the Game: Navy QB Keenan Reynolds completed 3-of-9 passes for 16 yards, and ran 26 times for 117 yards and two scores.

Arkeel Newsome ran for a two-yard score in the second and tore off a 90-yard touchdown run in the third as UConn scored 24 straight points after getting down early. East Carolina scored first on a 32-yard DaShawn Benton pick six, but the Pirate offense turned the ball over four times with Jamar Summers picking off two passes for UConn. Bryant Shirreffs found Alec Bloom for a 23-yard touchdown pass and ran for a three-yard scoring run as the Huskies pulled away. Blake Kemp threw three picks for ECU, James Summers threw one.
Player of the Game: Connecticut RB Arkeel Newsome ran 25 times for 179 yards and two scores, and caught a pass for 41 yards.

Gunner Kiel was perfect, completing 15-of-15 passes with five touchdown throws, finding Johnny Holton on scoring plays from 59 and 78 yards out and Chris Moore on a 16-yard play. The Bearcats went up 49-0 in the third quarter on Shaq Washington’s second touchdown catch of the game – he caught his first from Hayden Moore – and were up 52-0 before UCF finally got into the end zone on a one-yard C.J. Jones run. Cincinnati outgained UCF 726 yards to 313.
Player of the Game: Cincinnati QB Gunner Kiel completed all 15 of his throws for 319 yards and five scores.

Tulane got up 13-0 on two Dontrell Hilliard touchdown runs, but Memphis put an end to the excitement in a hurry with 41 unanswered points starting off with three Jake Elliott field goals and helped by two safeties. Paxton Lynch added a 43-yard scoring pass to Jamarius Henderson, and Anthony Miller and Jarvis Cooper each ran for short touchdowns. Memphis finished with 581 yards of total offense.
Player of the Game: Memphis QB Paxton Lynch completed 26-of-42 passes for 343 yards and a score, and ran seven times for 43 yards

Houston’s defense stuffed Vanderbilt, keeping it to 185 yards and forcing four takeaways. The offense got all the points it would need on a five-yard Greg Ward Jr. run late in the first quarter, and he came up with an 11-yard scoring pass to Demercus Ayers in the second to go along with two Ty Cummings field goals. The D got in the act in the third quarter on a 55-yard William Jackson pick six – the Commodores never threatened to get back in the game in the second half.
Player of the Game: Houston LB Elandon Roberts made 14 tackles with a half a sack, 1.5 tackles for loss, broke up a pass and came up with a forced fumble.
