In a weird game, Northwestern got a 37-yard Dan Vitale touchdown catch and a 27-yard Jack Mitchell field goal in the fourth quarter to get ahead by eight, but Nebraska scored late on a three-yard Tommy Armstrong run. However, the Huskers didn’t get the two, and Northwestern ended up running out the clock.

The Wildcats had an early 14-5 lead on a 72-yard pick six from Nick VanHoose and a one-yard run from Thorson, but Nebraska kept pushing with Armstrong finding Brandon Reilly for a ten-yard score and running four a four-yard touchdown to take the lead. Indiana at Michigan State

Final Score: Michigan State 52, Indiana 26
Pick: Michigan State 38, Indiana 27
    Line: Michigan State -16.5, o/u: 63.5

Up 28-26 in the fourth quarter, Michigan State was finally able to pull away in the final moments with three touchdowns in the last five minutes. Connor Cook threw four touchdown passes including two to R.J. Shelton with a ten-yarder in the fourth and a 22-yard play in the first. But Indiana hung shot for shot over the first three quarters thanks to Nate Sudfeld, who found Ricky Jones and Simmie Cobbs for touchdown passes in the second quarter. The return of RB Jordan Howard helped the Hoosiers – he ran for a five-yard touchdown to start the scoring – but the secondary had no answer for Cook. Michigan State outgained IU 540 yards to 389.

    Wisconsin at Illinois

Final Score: Wisconsin 24, Illinois 13
    Pick: Wisconsin 27, Illinois 17
    Line: Wisconsin -7, o/u: 44.5

It wasn’t pretty offensively for the Badgers – losing QB Joel Stave to an early injury, and with RB Corey Clement not playing – but WR Alex Erickson did a little bit of everything for the offense including a nine-yard touchdown catch in the fourth quarter. Bart Houston stepped in for Stave and threw for 232 yards and two scores, but he also gave up two picks including one in the end zone. Illinois couldn’t get the offense going with too many dropped passes and stalled drives, settling for two Taylor Zalewski field goals in the first half, but took the lead on a 36-yard Ke’Shawn Vaughn touchdown run in the third. The Badgers scored 14 unanswered points and the D held without a problem. Clayton Fejedelem made 19 tackles for the Illini.

Ezekiel Elliott got involved, too, with 142 yards with touchdown runs from two and 55 yards out. Rutgers didn’t get on the board until the final 13 seconds on a four-yard Andre Patton catch. The Buckeyes outgained Rutgers 528 yards to 293.
