Kentucky survived as Patrick Towles found Dorian Baker for a three-yard touchdown pass in overtime, and the defense held with a sack on fourth down. Just to get to OT was a fight for the Wildcats. Down 27-13 with disaster looming, Kentucky got a seven-yard touchdown run from Jojo Kemp with just under five minutes to play, and Towles forced overtime finding Dorian Baker for a five-yard touchdown pass on fourth down in the final seconds. Bennie Coney ran for a score and threw two scoring passes to Devin Borders on the way to a lead, but the EKU defense couldn’t hold.
Player of the Game: Kentucky QB Patrick Towles completed 29-of-42 passes for 329 yards and three touchdowns with two interceptions, and ran for a score.
Final Score: Arkansas 24, at Tennessee 20

This time, the Arkansas formula worked, holding on to the ball for over 35 minutes and controlling the game with the running attack. Down 14-0 in the first quarter after Tennessee opened up the game with an Evan Berry kickoff return for a score and a seven-yard Joshua Dobbs run, Arkansas came back with the first of two Alex Collins touchdown runs and a 33-yard Dominique Reed touchdown catch. Collins put the Hogs up 24-17 in the third quarter on a one-yard run, and Tennessee could only manage a 45-yard Aaron Medley field goal the rest of the way. The Vol O stalled on its last three drives.
Player of the Game: Arkansas RB Alex Collins ran 27 times for 154 yards and two scores.
Final Score: Vanderbilt 17, at Middle Tennessee 13

Ralph Webb ran for a 39-yard score with just over a minute to play to put Vanderbilt ahead for the first time all game. The two teams traded field goals in the first quarter, but Middle Tennessee finally got in the end zone in the fourth on an 18-yard Ed’Marques Batties catch for a 13-3 lead. The Commodores scored 14 unanswered points with Johnny McCrary running for a 29-yard score and leading the way to an 87-yard drive leading to the game-winning run.
Player of the Game: Vanderbilt RB Ralph Webb ran 25 times for 155 yards and a score, and caught two passes for 21 yards.

Kyle Allen threw two first quarter touchdown passes and Taylor Bertolet connected on a 55-yard field goal for a 17-3 Texas A&M lead, but Mississippi State fought back the whole game. Malik Dear ran for a 52-yard touchdown dash in the second for the Bulldogs, but A&M answered back with a Tra Carson scoring run on the way to a 17-point lead. Just when it seemed like it was over, Dak Prescott took MSU on a long scoring drive, finishing off with a five-yard run. The third Bartolet field goal of the game finally put it away.
Player of the Game: Texas A&M QB Kyle Allen completed 25-of-41 passes for 322 yards and two scores, and ran 12 times for 65 yards.

Auburn got five rushing scores out of Peyton Barber, who scored three times in the first half and with a fourth short one in the third, but San Jose State wouldn’t go away. Joe Gray ran for a touchdown and threw for an 18-yard score, but it was a two-yard Tyler Ervin scoring run late in the fourth that pulled the Spartans within seven. After the Tigers recovered the onside kick, Barber put it away with a 36-yard touchdown run two plays later. Ervin ran for 160 yards.
Player of the Game: Auburn RB Peyton Barber ran 28 times for 147 yards and five scores.

Florida came out roaring and never let it become a game, forcing four takeaways and getting big play after big play from QB Will Grier, who connected with Demarcus Robinson for a 36-yard touchdown on the opening drive, and capitalized off an Ole Miss mistake with a two-yard scoring play to Jake McGee. The 77-yard pass play to Brandon Powell put the game out of reach in the second quarter, and a 15-yard touchdown throw to Antonio Callaway with 20 seconds to play in the half made it a true rout. Ole Miss didn’t get into the end zone until the final minutes with a seven-yard Markell Pack catch.
Player of the Game: Florida QB Will Grier completed 24-of-29 passes for 271 yards and four scores.
Final Score: at LSU 44, Eastern Michigan 22

Leonard Fournette scored on a three-yard touchdown run and Brandon Harris ran for a 21-yard score, but LSU was in for a fight. Eastern Michigan pulled within 17-14 on a one-yard Darius Jackson run, but it wasn’t until Fournette took off for a 75-yard scoring dash on the first play of the third that LSU could breathe easier. However, the Tigers had to settle for too many field goals, getting three from Trent Domingue keeping the Eagles alive. A 12-yard Dustin Creel touchdown catch made it an eight point game late in the third, but Fournette ended it with an 11-yard touchdown run. Deion Jones closed out the LSU scoring with a pick six.
Player of the Game: LSU RB Leonard Fournette ran 26 times for 235 yards and three scores.

Drew Lock kept everything short and didn’t take many chances, but he threw two touchdown passes to Nate Brown from eight and nine yards out. South Carolina stayed alive with a 34-yard Elliott Fry field goal and an eight-yard Shon Carson run to tie it at ten in the first half, but that would be it for the offense. Mizzou scored 14 unanswered points, pitting it away with a one-yard Ish Witter run. The D did the rest, forcing three turnovers and coming up with second half stop after second half stop.
Player of the Game: Missouri DE Walter Brady made three tackles with two sacks and a pick.
Final Score: Alabama 38, at Georgia 10

The Alabama defense dominated in the rain and the slop, while RB Derrick Henry and the running game controlled things with a punishing attack. After the two teams traded field goals, Henry took off for a 30-yard score and the floodgates opened. The Crimson Tide scored 35 straight points, helped by a punt block for a score from Minkah Fitzpatrick and a pick-six from Eddie Jackson. Jake Coker ran for a score and found Calvin Ridley for a 45-yard touchdown. The only positive for Georgia was Nick Chubb, who kept ran his streak of 100-yard running games to 13 with an 83-yard scoring dash late in the third.
Player of the Game: Alabama RB Derrick Henry ran 26 times for 148 yards and a score.
