Games In Order From Best To Worst

    Northwestern at Wisconsin

Final Score: Northwestern 13, Wisconsin 7
    Pick: Wisconsin 27, Northwestern 13
    Line: Wisconsin -11, o/u: 40

In a strange and controversial finish, Wisconsin appeared to overcome five turnovers to pull off the win as Joel Stave found Jazz Peavy for a touchdown – but it was ruled by replay that Peavy didn’t maintain control through the catch. The Badger drive fizzled out, missing on a fourth down try, to end a strange game. The Badgers also got a touchdown pass reversed on that drive, as it was ruled the receiver’s knee was down at the one, and earlier, they got a punt return for a score Alex Erickson called back on a bizarre call. Northwestern did its part with Justin Jackson running for an eight-yard touchdown and getting two Jack Mitchell field goals. Wisconsin only managed a nine-yard Corey Clement touchdown run, seeing drive after drive stopped with turnovers. The Badgers finished with -26 rushing yards.

Player of the Game: Northwestern RB Justin Jackson ran 35 times for 139 yards and a score.

    Michigan State at Ohio State

Final Score: Michigan State 17, Ohio State 14
Pick: Ohio State 31, Michigan State 23
    Line: Ohio State -13, o/u: 53

In a total shocker, Michigan State survived the absence of starting quarterback Connor Cook – out with a shoulder injury – to end Ohio State’s 23-game winning streak with a 41-yard Michael Geiger field goal as time ran out. The Spartans cranked out a 13-play, 75-yard drive earlier in the fourth with Gerald Holmes scoring on a two-yard run to tie it, and the O went 25 yards in nine plays to set up Geiger’s field goal. Ezekiel Elliott ran for a one-yard score, and after a muffed punt, Jalin Marshall caught a six-yard touchdown pass as Ohio State took a 14-7 lead going into the fourth, but the Michigan State defense clamped down from then on. Ohio State finished with just 132 yards of total offense

Player of the Game: Thrown into the fire, Michigan State QB Tyler O’Connor completed 7-of-12 passes for 89 yards and a score, and ran eight times for 25 yards.

Illinois threw well with Wes Lunt throwing for 279 yards and finding Malik Turner for a 13-yard game and Andrew Davis for a six-yard touchdown, but it also had to settle for three Taylor Zalewski field goals.
