    TCU pulled within one in the final seconds on a 14-yard pass to Emanuel Porter, but Bram Kohlhausen’s two-point conversion try was batted down and OU survived. Oklahoma was cruising right along up 23-7 in the second half with Baker Mayfield throwing two touchdown passes and Austin Seibert hitting three field goals, but Mayfield left the game in the second half after suffering a huge hit in the first – TCU came roaring back. Samaje Perine ran for a 72-yard touchdown to up the Sooners up 30-13, but TCU scored 16 unanswered points with Kohlhausen throwing two touchdown passes including an 86-yarder to KaVontae Turpin. TCU started the game with Foster Sawyer at quarterback, but he threw three picks with two to Zack Sanchez, who recovered the final onside kick. Oklahoma ran for 333 yards, while TCU gained 390 total yards.

    Player of the Game: Oklahoma RB Samaje Perine ran 26 times for 188 yards and a score, and caught a pass for 16 yards.

    Iowa State at Kansas State

    Down 35-14 going into the second half, Kansas State scored 24 unanswered points with Jack Cantele hitting a 42-yard field goal with three seconds to play for the win. Charles Jones came up with touchdown runs from eight and five yards out, and Kody Cook caught a seven-yard touchdown pass, but a late Iowa State fumbles proved to be the undoing. With the score tied, the Cyclones had the ball with 42 seconds left on its own 25, but K-State’s Marquel Bryant came up with a sack and a forced fumble leading to the game-winning field goal. Joel Lanning threw three touchdown passes and ran for a score for Iowa State, and Mike Warren ran for 195 yards including a 76-yard scoring dash. Iowa State turned it over four times, Kansas State once.

    Player of the Game: Kansas State RB Joe Hubener completed 18-of-31 passes for 216 yards and a score, and ran 20 times for a team-high 90 yards.

    Baylor at Oklahoma State

    Baylor lost starting quarterback Jarrett Stidham to an injury, and Chris Johnson stepped in and bombed away – the two quarterbacks combined for 396 yards – with KD Cannon catching a 59-yard scoring pass from Stidham in the first, and a 71-yard bomb from Johnson in the third. Oklahoma State had it tied at 14 in the first quarter with the first of two touchdown catches from both James Washington and Jalen McCleskey, but Baylor cranked out 24 straight points to pull ahead and stay there. Johnson found Jay Lee for a 39-yard touchdown and ran for a four-yard touchdown. Baylor finished with 700 yards of total offense, Oklahoma State ended up with 441 with 433 of them through the air.

    Player of the Game: Baylor WR KD Cannon caught five passes for 210 yards and two scores.

    West Virginia at Kansas

    Three Mountaineers ran for over 100 yards with Wendell Smallwood and Rushel Shell each running for two touchdowns, and Terrell Chestnut came up with a 32-yard interception return for a score on the way to the easy win. Shell ran for touchdowns from eight and 26 yards out in the first quarter, and Skyler Howard ran for a nine-yard touchdown and threw a two-yard touchdown pass to Cody Clay. Kansas was outgained 630 yards to 209, and turned the ball over four times.

    Player of the Game: West Virginia QB Skyler Howard completed 13-of-22 passes for 133 yards and a score with a pick, and ran nine yards for a team-high 129 yards and a score.
