Stanford broke through a 7-7 tie with Kevin Hogan running for a one-yard score and connecting with Michael Rector for a 43-yard touchdown, and finding Dalton Schultz for a six-yard score. The Buffs got a four-yard Donovan Lee touchdown run in the first quarter, but could only manage a 29-yard Diego Gonzalez field goal the rest of the way. The Cardinal were in control from the second quarter on, putting it well out of reach on a 47-yard Bryce Love touchdown run and with Christian McCaffrey throwing a 28-yard scoring pass to Austin Hooper. Stanford was 10-of-16 on third down plays, Colorado 2-of-11.
