Give me some College Football Playoff chaos, baby. I really do like Washington a lot, and I believe it has the pieces to come back next year and compete for the CFP. But I’m all behind Colorado here. The Buffs have had a remarkable season, and if the Big Ten wasn’t so good they’d be in line to jump into the top four by winning this one. Alas, they’ll help out the B1G team that beat them earlier this season – Michigan – and knock Washington out of Playoff contention.

Colorado is one of the three best stories of the season (Western Michigan and Navy being the other two), and Mike MacIntyre deserves all the post-season accolades and job considerations – especially considering how he plugged in Steven Montez when Sefo Liufau went down and his team hardly missed a beat.
That aside, I still believe that Washington is, when healthy, the most complete team in the nation. The loss of Azeem Victor is palpable, but Washington has regained its footing and after stifling Washington State’s offense should be playing with plenty of confidence.
Washington wins in both the weekend’s best game. Thank God the Pac-12 didn’t bury it on a Friday night, instead opting for prime time on a light Saturday slate. Wait, what?

Colorado is going to make this a game. The Buffs rock the nation’s No. 13 overall defense and a top-30 offense. I like them to cover the spread, which has been pushed out to -8.5 in favor of Washington. That being said, and taking nothing away from Colorado, the Huskies get the win and are heading to the College Football Playoff. Washington is just too good.

Our colleague Parker Sperry will be in Santa Clara for the game rooting on his Buffaloes from what I expect will be good seats. He looks like a guy that would spring for the best of the best. Unfortunately for him, Washington will come out with guns blazing and light up Colorado. Huskies win by 13.
