    1. Cal opened up a 27-7 lead in the third quarter on Jared Goff’s second touchdown pass of the game, finding Kenny Lawler for an eight-yard score. Vic Enwere ran for a 12-yard touchdown and Matt Anderson hit two field goals, but Washington would come back.

    2. The Huskies took a fumble for a score and got a two-yard Chico McClatcher run for a touchdown pulling within six late in the third, but turnovers kept from taking over. Washington gave it up five times including a few key giveaways deep in Cal territory.

    3. Washington pulled within six on a Cameron Van Winkle field goal with just under four minutes to play, but Cal was able to hold on.


    – Jared Goff completed 24-of-40 passes for 342 yards and two scores with a pick.

    – Kenny Lawler caught seven passes for 112 yards and a score, and Bryce Treggs caught five passes for 83 yards and a score.

    – Cal controlled the clock, holding the ball for 39:49.


    – Dwayne Washington ran ten times for 109 yards and a score.

    – Jake Browning completed 17-of-28 passes for 152 yards and two picks.
