Non-Conference Games Eastern Washington, at Boise State, Idaho
Games vs. the South UCLA, at Arizona State, Arizona, at Colorado
– The Cougars lost to Portland State to start last season, and this year they have an even bigger fight against a potentially dangerous Eastern Washington team. Follow that up with a trip to Boise State and a scrimmage against Idaho, and they should be 2-1 at worst before getting a week off.
– After starting out the Pac-12 season with Oregon, it’s on the road for three games in four weeks going to Stanford, Arizona State and Oregon State. The home game in the mix against UCLA doesn’t make things easier.
– There’s no USC or Utah to deal with from the South, and UCLA and Arizona are coming to Pullman – that’s not bad. Going to Arizona State stinks, but the road trip to Colorado shouldn’t be an issue if Wazzu is Wazzu again.
– There’s a chance to go on a nice run in November. Three of the final four games are at home including the Apple Cup against Washington, to go along with the dates against Arizona and Cal. The road game is at Colorado.
– WATCH OUT FOR … the October 29th date at Oregon State. It comes at the end of the run of three road games in four weeks and after a trip to Arizona State. It comes at just the right time of the season for a letdown.
