    Resume

    Team: Villanova Wildcats

    Record:
     29-5

    Conference:
    Big East

    Head coach:
    Jay Wright

    How they got here:
     At-large bid

    The Good

The Wildcats play with a lot of confidence, and you won’t find a team with a bigger chip on their shoulder heading into the NCAA Tournament. Villanova is looking for respect, and woe be the team that doesn’t get ready for a battle against the Wildcats. Josh Hart, Kris Jenkins and Ryan Archidiacono are all experienced, and Villanova’s defense will give opponents headache. Hart is an electric scorer, a must-see player every time he hits the floor.

    The Bad

Villanova has been beating up on Big East foes, but they played quality teams outside the league during the non-conference campaign the Wildcats looked positively average. Villanova never gives up, but a lack of challengers may leave the Wildcats a step behind in the Big Dance.

    Prediction

The Wildcats scored wins over a pile of RPI top 50 teams, but when the competition reached the elite level, Villanova was left wanting. This team wants to put the disappointing label behind it, and a deep run is its focus. But it won’t happen. The Wildcats will watch the Final Four from home.
