The USC Trojans have made it to the NCAA Tournament. Here’s a preview of the team and a prediction of how they’ll do during March Madness.

    Resume

    Team: USC Trojans

    Record:
    21-12

    Conference:
     Pac-12

    Head coach:
    Andy Enfield

    How they got here:
     At-Large Bid

    The Good

Quality balance isn’t an issue for the Trojans, who feature six players who average double figures in scoring. Jordan McLaughlin is a dependable point guard who can run the floor, knock down the three and makes the smart pass. Guard Julian Jacobs is right with McLaughlin, and his vision makes him special, too. He doesn’t have the same outside game, as his counterpart, but he can get to the free-throw line and is a weapon. Nikoa Jonvanovic holds things down in the paint.

    The Bad

The Trojans really only go seven deep, and that will be an issue if the team runs into foul trouble. The production drops off considerably if USC is forced to go to its bench, and this is a team that is inconsistent from the line. Andy Enfield’s team also can give up easy buckets on defense, and discipline in the half court game comes and goes.

    Prediction

The Trojans’ success all depends on which team shows up. Will it be the one that beat Wichita State and Arizona earlier this year? Or will it be the USC squad that got hammered by Stanford? USC is on your list of power conference teams ripe for being beat early.
