Urban Meyer shared when he'll reveal the Ohio State starting quarterback during Monday's press conference.
August 31, 2015With the season-opening game just seven days away, Urban Meyer still hasn’t decided who will be the Ohio State starting quarterback.
Meyer addressed the media on Monday, where he discussed this offseason’s battle between Cardale Jones and J.T. Barrett. As of now, he’s not ready to name a starter, but come Monday night in Blacksburg, the world will know.
The starter will be revealed “when the first guy takes the snap,” according to Meyer.

Neither Jones nor Barrett have distanced themselves at this time, but Meyer expects to come to a decision within the next few days.
As for what it means for the player not under center come the first snap against Virginia Tech? There’s a good chance he’ll also see playing time on Monday night, and Meyer stresses that the position will be an ongoing, weekly battle.
