Urban Meyer discusses Jim Harbaugh’s Florida spring practices, and whether or not he would do the same.

Much has been made about Jim Harbaugh holding spring practices in Florida. Some thought it was a great idea, others not so much.

While the practices at IMG Academy in Bradenton, Fla. have come and gone, the topic is still being talked about.

The latest to weigh in? Harbaugh’s arch-rival, Ohio State head coach Urban Meyer, who actually backs Harbaugh’s outside-the-box methods.

“I think it’s creative,” Meyer said (via WUFT News sports anchor Sara Perlman). “I was worried about taking their spring break from them [players]. I’m looking into it for next year and maybe the future too. It’s creative and if it’s good for the players we’ll probably do it.”

Soak that in, folks. It may be next century before you hear a Buckeye supporting a Wolverine again. It just doesn’t happen too often. Especially from a man who refuses to say the word “Michigan” or allow any Ms on campus during Rivalry Week.

As for whether or not it’s good for the players, Michigan tight end Jake Butt can provide some insight.
