Updated NCAA Tournament odds have been released now that the Sweet 16 has been set.

After one of the most exciting four-day stretches in history, the NCAA Tournament now has its Sweet 16. There’s some chalk (hello, Kansas, North Carolina, Oregon and Virginia) as well as some prominent, yet low-seeded Cinderellas still dancing (howdy, Gonzaga and Oregon).

Since March Madness is no time to catch one’s breath, here’s a look at the updated NCAA Tournament odds to win the title leading into the Sweet 16 (per RJ Bell).

    North Carolina: +400

    Kansas:
    +450

    Virginia:
    6/1

    Oklahoma:
    12/1

    Oregon:
    12/1

    Villanova:
    12/1

    Duke:
    18/1

    Texas A&M:
    20/1

    Indiana:
    20/1

    Gonzaga:
    22/1

    Miami:
    25/1

    Iowa State:
    28/1

    Maryland:
    30/1

    Notre Dame:
    50/1

    Wisconsin:
    50/1

    Syracuse:
    50/1

    A quick, scattershot analysis:

North Carolina being a favorite over Kansas is surprising. Kansas is the most consistent team in the country, while UNC has needed strong second half bursts to win both of its tournament games thus far.

Then again, Kansas has a potential matchup with Villanova looming. North Carolina’s bracket opens up considerably, should the Heels be able to defeat the Big Ten regular season champions.

About that Indiana team: 20/1 for both the Big Ten and SEC regular season champions (Texas A&M)? Hmm …

Funny how perception of Virginia has changed with the early exit from Michigan State. Remember when people were questioning their No. 1 ranking?

Gonzaga is thought really highly of.
