Updated College Football National Championship Odds

Updated college football national championship odds from the Westgate Las Vegas Superbook.

    December 14, 2015

We are officially four weeks out of the 2016 college football national championship game. On Monday, January 11, the winner of Alabama vs. Michigan State and Clemson vs. Oklahoma will battle it out for the right to call themselves NCAA champions.

The Westgate Las Vegas Superbook has released updated college football national championship odds for the four teams.

    • Alabama 1-1
    • Oklahoma 9-4
    • Clemson 11-2
    • Michigan State 7-1

Despite an early-season loss to Ole Miss, the consensus around the country is that Alabama is the best team in the nation this year. That’s reflected in the 1-1 odds the Crimson Tide are currently carrying.

Clemson was awarded the No. 1 seed in the College Football Playoff after an undefeated regular season and ACC championship, but the Tigers have just the third-best odds entering the playoff. Vegas likes the Oklahoma Sooners, who were handed the No. 4 seed, to beat Clemson to advance to the title.

Despite winning the Big Ten title and knocking off previously unbeaten Ohio State and Iowa, Michigan State is carrying the longest odds of winning the national championship.

The two semifinal games are scheduled for December 31. The Orange Bowl between Clemson and Oklahoma will kick off at 4:00 p.m. ET. The Cotton Bowl is slotted for 8:00 p.m. ET.

Each team will then have a little over a week to prepare for the championship showdown.
