UGA football recruiting update as of October 9, 2016. Kirby Smart's Bulldogs are down one 4-star commit and looking to bounce back on the recruiting trail.
October 9, 2016UGA football recruiting update as of October 9, 2016.
Last week wasn’t great for the Bulldogs on the recruiting trail. They lost a commitment from 4-star cornerback Latavious Brini, and now it seems as though Florida and Miami are going to fight it out for him.
That isn’t what UGA fans want to hear. Not only do they lose a commitment from the nation’s No. 24 cornerback, but the rival Gators and former head coach Mark Richt are two of the top contenders to land him.
Those same Hurricanes hosted 4-star recruit Jeremiah Holloman for an official visit this past weekend. The No. 21 wide receiver and No. 140 overall player in the 2017 class was on hand for Miami’s 20-19 loss to rival Florida State. But the Covington, Georgia native is still projected to land with Kirby Smart’s team when it’s all said and done.
Four-star linebacker Nate McBride made the cross-country trip to Eugene for a visit with Oregon. Regardless of the Ducks’ 70-21 loss to Washington, it seems as though McBride is destined to stay close to home and choose the Bulldogs.
You find true greatness in the mist of adversity. Beyond blessed to have the ability to play this amazing game #BearDown ????????
