1. Arizona got on the board first on a 34-yard Nate Phillips touchdown. And then it was all UCLA scoring 28 straight points as it pounded its way to the shockingly easy win. Josh Rosen found Thomas Duarte for a 35-yard touchdown and Jordan Payton for a five-yard score, and Paul Perkins ran for three touchdowns in the first half.
2. The Bruins got up 42-14 going into halftime helped by Perkins third touchdown run, but Arizona got deep into UCLA territory as time was running out. Casey Skowron missed the field goal attempt.
3. With Anu Solomon out hurt, Jerrard Randall tried to bring the Wildcats back with a 39-yard touchdown run and a 16-yard scoring pass to David Richards to help make it 42-23, but UCLA ended it with a 75-yard drive ending in an eight-yard Josh Rosen scoring run.
– Josh Rosen completed 19-of-28 passes for 284 yards and two scores. He also ran for seven yards and a score.
– Paul Perkins ran 24 times for 85 yards and a score. Soso Jamabo ran nine times for 96 yards and a touchdown.
– Jordan Payton caught seven passes for 136 yards and a score.
– Nick Wilson ran 24 times for 136 yards. Jerrard Randall ran 16 times for 128 yards and a score, and completed 4-of-16 passes for 45 yards and a touchdown with an interception.
– Before getting hurt, Anu Solomon completed 4-of-10 passes for 55 yards and a score, and ran seven times for 47 yards.
