Games vs. the North Stanford, at Washington State, Oregon State, at California

    5 Keys to the Schedule

    – The Bruins aren’t taking it easy in non-conference play starting out at Texas A&M and having to go to BYU, making up for last year’s game against the Cougars in Pasadena. The UNLV game isn’t bad, but it’s not like playing a true cupcake.

    – Missing Oregon from the North is nice, but the Pac-12 season starts out against Stanford in the Rose Bowl. Missing Washington is a massive break, and going to Washington State and Cal isn’t all that bad.

    – Arizona State is going to be decent, and that’s not going to be a layup of a road game, but the other big boys in the South – USC, Arizona and Utah – all have to make the trip to Pasadena.

    – The key will be to get to November still alive. There’s a nicely-timed week off on October 29th before getting easy games against Colorado and Oregon State before dealing with the USC showdown.

    – WATCH OUT FOR … that date at Colorado. The Bruins have to play three road games in four dates, and even though there’s a week off to prepare, there might be a problem trying to gear it up against for the Buffs with bigger games ahead.
