UCF vs. Stanford score, recap, analysis and reactions to Saturday's game between the Knights and Cardinal in Palo Alto.
September 12, 20151. For the second straight game the Stanford offense wasn’t working, and then it all clicked starting with a flea flicker leading to a 53-yard pass to Michael Rector. The Cardinal scored the first 31 points of the game.
2. Kevin Hogan threw three touchdown passes highlighted by a 93-yard play to Bryce Love in the fourth. Barry Sanders ran for a 20-yard score.
3. UCF finally got on the board with a 36-yard Tre’Quan Smith touchdown catch with just over a minute to play.
– Kevin Hogan completed 17-of-29 passes for 341 yards and three scores
– Bryce Love caught two passes for 135 yards and a score. Michael Rector caught four passes for 86 yards and a touchdown
– Stanford was tagged for 12 penalties for 137 yards
– The three UCF quarterbacks combined to go 14-of-36 for 151 yards and a score with a pick
– Taj McGowan ran 20 times for 67 yards
– UCF was outgained 491 yards to 181 and ran for 30 net yards
