Tyrann Mathieu congratulated Frank Wilson on his new job with a heartfelt tweet.

As National Signing Day gets closer, the LSU Tigers are hoping to hold onto their No. 1 class ranking (per 247Sports Composite).

But Les Miles’ job just got a little bit tougher because he’s losing one of his best recruiters. Frank Wilson, who has been LSU’s running backs coach and recruiting coordinator since 2010, has accepted the head coaching job at the University of Texas at San Antonio.

While at LSU, Wilson helped recruit a ton of great players, including Tyrann Mathieu, Leonard Fournette, Jarvis Landry and Jermey Hill.

Mathieu, who is now suiting up for the Arizona Cardinals, hopped on Twitter to show his appreciation for Wilson and congratulate him on his first head coaching job.

“So proud for coach Frank Wilson. You deserve it, you have helped so many kids in Louisiana reach their goal, happy to see you reach yours!”

Wilson was an assistant coach at Ole Miss, Southern Mississippi and Tennessee before arriving at LSU.

He was named the Rivals.com National Recruiter of Year in 2011. In 2014, he was named as the NFL.com Top Recruiter in College Football. And a year later, he was named the Scout.com SEC Recruiter of the Year.

The guy knows how to recruit, and now he’ll be doing it as a head coach.
