Trey Smith, one of the nation’s top uncommitted prospects, received multiple visits from coaches on Monday.

With a decision looming for five-star recruit Trey Smith (Jackson, Tennessee), coaches are making their final visits and pitches to the nation’s No. 4 offensive tackle.

Both Alabama’s Nick Saban and Ohio State’s Urban Meyer stopped by University School of Jackson on Monday. The Crimson Tide and Buckeyes are two of the teams who made his top six in October, and are considered the frontrunners, along with Tennessee, for his commitment.

Smith called both visits from Saban and Meyer “great.”

In addition to the aforementioned teams, Clemson, Notre Dame, Ole Miss and Tennessee also were on Smith’s list.

Standing at 6-foot-6 and checking in at 300 pounds, Smith is ranked as the nation’s No. 22 overall player in the 2017 recruiting class. While he certainly has a promising future in football, for him the decision is much more than that.

“To me, the main factor is life after football,” Smith said in an interview when discussing his top schools in October. “There are lots of opportunities that come after playing the sport. I want to see what the school can do for me and the opportunities it can provide.”

Smith used four official visits this season for Ole Miss (Oct. 29), Alabama (Nov. 12), Ohio State (Nov. 26), and Tennessee (Dec. 2).

Smith will announce his commitment live on ESPN’s “College Football Live” at 4:00 p.m. ET on Tuesday, December 6.
