    Trevor Lawrence Recruiting Profile

CI 25 Overall Ranking: No. 2
CI 25 Position Ranking: No. 1
    Hometown: Cartersville, Georgia
    School: Cartersville High School
    Position: QB
    Height: 6’6″
    Weight: 201 lbs

    Playing Style

They just don’t make quarterbacks like Trevor Lawrence every day. He’s a video game QB, and that’s the best way to describe him. He’s 6-foot-6, 201 lbs and can do everything on the football field. He has calm feet and great awareness within the pocket. He can throw with touch but also has a catchable deep ball. He can throw on the run, going both left and right.

In terms of play style, Joey Harrington comes to mind, but the ceiling for Lawrence is much higher. He’s a perfect fit for Clemson with the way Dabo Swinney balances the air attack with the running game and gets his quarterbacks moving laterally. Florida and Georgia would also be nice fits, but the Tigers are a perfect match for Lawrence’s skill set.

    What They’re Saying

“He can make any throw you want a top quarterback to make. Not only does the ball pop coming out of his hands, but he throws with great touch. ” – Scout

    Recruiting Overview

Trying to pry Trevor Lawrence away from Clemson is a task not many, if any, will be able to do. Lawrence is from Cartersville, Georgia, which is less than a two-hour drive away from Gainesville, Georgia, also known as Deshaun Watson’s hometown. Dabo Swinney has been plucking recruits out of the Peach State for years.

The one factor going against the Tigers is the same thing hurting Georgia: depth. Hunter Johnson and Chase Brice will both be ahead of Lawrence on the depth chart at Clemson. The Bulldogs also have Jacob Eason and Jake Fromm in Athens. Florida and Tennessee will both try to persuade Lawrence to flip his commitment with the promise of early reps, but all signs point to Lawrence sticking with Clemson.
