Trevon Grimes Injury Update: 5-Star WR Expected To Be Okay

Five-star Ohio State commit Trevon Grimes was injured in Friday night’s game versus Bishop Gorman High School.
Friday night produced a 25-24 loss for St. Thomas Aquinas High School when it took on Bishop Gorman High School.
But the Raiders suffered a bigger loss when 5-star wide receiver Trevon Grimes left the game early when he was carted off the field with a left knee injury in the fourth quarter.
However, Grimes’ injury is not expected to be serious, according to Land of 10.
Grimes later tweeted to update everyone on his status.

Before he left the game, the nation’s No. 3 wide receiver had reeled in a 53-yard touchdown pass on a halfback pass to give his team a 7-3 lead.
Grimes was one of a few Ohio State commits playing in the matchup. He was joined by 5-star quarterback Tate Martell, 4-star defensive tackle Haskell Garrett and 4-star wide receiver Tyjon Lindsey, whom Grimes committed to the Buckeyes with via a joint video a couple of months ago.
Lindsey, the nation’s No. 5 wide receiver and No. 38 overall player, was very concerned for his friend’s health after the game.
“God Bless Trevon. I want to send all prayers out to my future teammate,” Lindsey told BuckeyeGrove.
At 6-foot-4, 202 lbs Grimes is one of the elite wide receivers in the nation. He’s a vertical threat with excellent body control and an ability to create separation easily. He has great hands and high points the football. Grimes is the type of talent capable of starting on Day 1 for the Buckeyes.
Urban Meyer’s team is currently ranked as the No. 1 class in the 2017 recruiting cycle with 17 commits. Ohio State has the most 5-star commits in the country right now with five total — including Grimes and Martell.
