Tre Nixon commits to the Ole Miss Rebels one week before National Signing Day.

Hugh Freeze is beginning to pull some rabbits out of his hat again, and there’s still a week left to go until National Signing Day.

Ole Miss landed a commitment from 4-star wide receiver Tre Nixon, from Melbourne, Fla., on Monday. He’s the No. 36 wide receiver in the class of 2016 and chose the Rebels over Auburn and Georgia on Monday.

Nixon sent out his announcement in a message on Twitter.

Ole Miss now has 21 commits in its 2016 class and is sitting at No. 5 in the 247Sports Composite team rankings.

With Laquon Treadwell headed for the NFL, landing Nixon is huge for the Rebels’ depth at wide receiver. And don’t be shocked if Freeze lands a few more top-notch recruits in the next week.
