Trajan Bandy committed to the Oklahoma Sooners over Michigan and others on Sunday.

It was a pleasant Sunday afternoon for Bob Stoops and the people of Norman, Okla. as the Sooners landed their sixth commitment for the 2017 recruiting class.

Four-star recruit Trajan Bandy, the nation’s No. 22 cornerback and No. 253 overall recruit, chose to commit to Oklahoma only days after releasing a top-10 list stacked with Tennessee and Michigan trailing only Oklahoma in the top-three spots.

Of course, every team on that list not named Oklahoma has to be disappointed, but there was a little more hope stacked up for Michigan, who landed Bandy’s former teammate, Joshua Uche, in the 2016 class. Uche was a 3-star prospect and No. 53 defensive end in the cycle.

There’s still plenty of time for the Wolverines and others to make a run at Bandy, but it certainly won’t be easy to sway him away from Stoops.

Auburn will certainly be one of those programs considering the fact Bandy’s father, Jeff Bandy, played for the Tigers.

Let’s see how the cards will be dealt with a lot of time left in the 2017 cycle.
