Three-Star J’Bril Glaze Decommits From USF, Keeps Bulls Among Schools Of Interest

Tampa, Florida prospect J’Bril Glaze has decommitted from USF and will now weigh all his options.
Willie Taggart’s acceptance of the Oregon head coaching position is having an immediate impact on USF’s recruiting class.
On Wednesday, the same day that Taggart was announced as the Ducks’ next coach, three-star defensive end J’Bril Glaze decided to reopen his recruitment. Glaze sent the following message thanking USF, while also not completely writing the program off.
“First off I would like to thank all the South Florida coaches that showed high interest in me and accepted me into the Bulls family. But after talking it over with my coaches and loved ones I’ve decided to reopen my recruitment. Like my decision to commit I ask that everyone respect and support this decision. South Florida will remain one of my schools of interest.”
Glaze is ranked the nation’s No. 86 defensive end of the 2017 class. He plays for Thomas Jefferson High School, a short drive from South Florida’s campus, so it won’t be difficult for whomever the Bulls hire to get in front of the 6-foot-3, 240 pound prospect.
With his decision, USF’s class now sits at 16 commits and only one defensive end, two-star Darrien Grant.
