This week, Texas suffered a dropped punt snap by Michael Dickson and a short kick that allowed Oklahoma State to win on a 40-yard Ben Grogan field goal. The Cowboys tied it with 1:33 to play with a 41-yard field goal before getting his chance a few seconds later.

2. Brandon Sheperd caught a 17-yard touchdown pass and J.W. Walsh ran for a four-yard score for a 14-3 first quarter Oklahoma State lead, but Texas hung around on two Nick Rose field goals and a fumble recovery for a score. The Longhorns took the 20-17 lead going into halftime on a seven-yard run from Tyrone Swoopes.
