Texas A&M vs. Western Carolina prediction and game preview. The Aggies look to rebound after a loss to Auburn as they host the Catamounts.

    November 10, 2015

Western Carolina (6-3) might not be a total pushover. The Catamounts have won five of their last six games, and now they get a shot at a reeling Texas A&M (6-3) coming off a loss to Auburn. Having lost three of their last four, can the Aggies get their stuff back together in time to turn the season back around on the road at Vanderbilt and LSU? A&M needs to push the reset button, and this might be the game to do it. Check out the Western Carolina vs. Texas A&M game preview and prediction.

    Why Western Carolina Will Win

The offense is moving the ball. It’s a flaky attack that’s way too inconsistent, but when it’s on and the balance is in a groove, this can be a dangerous team. Considering the Texas A&M offense has been struggling to find its way, too, the more the Catamounts can keep the field tilted, the better. This is one of the few teams that can match A&M’s punting game with Ian Berryman coming up with a huge season. WCU is third in the FCS in punting because Berryman has been so consistently great – he has to negate Christian Kirk, at least as a punt returner.

    Why Texas A&M Will Win

Tennessee 55, Western Carolina 10. That might have been a long time ago, but the one time the Catamounts had to play someone at a mid-range SEC level, it wasn’t pretty. For all of A&M’s flaws and issues right now, the offense should be able to operate without a problem as long as the running game can get going early. WCU doesn’t have any sort of an answer for the Aggie pass rush that should slow everything down.

    Player Who Matters

Yeah, Western Carolina can punt, but Texas A&M has the best in the nation. Drew Kaser is coming up with the best season in his tremendous run, averaging a career-high 47.9 yards per kick putting 15 kicks inside the 20. He wasn’t always needed to come up big during the Manziel era, but he was still an all-star throughout the first part of his career and came up with a strong season last year. As a senior, he’s doing everything right.

    What’s Going To Happen?

Texas A&M isn’t going to biff the last home game of the season. After the stomping from Auburn, this will be a fully-focused team that’ll take this seriously from the star.
