Texas A&M vs. Vanderbilt live stream, TV broadcast information, and predictions. The Commodores will host the Aggies in Nashville on Thursday night.
February 4, 2016The No. 8 Texas A&M Aggies will travel to Nashville, Tenn. to take on the Vanderbilt Commodores on Thursday night.
The Aggies (18-3, 7-1 SEC) have gotten some much needed time off since their 74-62 win over Iowa State last Saturday. Texas A&M trailed by two with a little over four minutes left to play, but the Aggies went on a 14-2 run down the stretch to seal the big-time victory. Danuel House led the way as he had a game-high 20 points, while Tyler Davis chipped in 15 of his own. Jalen Jones dominated the paint for A&M and came away with his third double-double of the season (13 points, 12 rebounds). The Aggies had the advantage by forcing 16 Cyclones turnovers (to just 9 for A&M) and connected on 11 more free throws than Iowa State.
The Commodores (12-9, 4-4 SEC) are treading water in the middle of the SEC for now, but they’ve lost two of their last three — most recently a 72-58 beating from the Texas Longhorns on Saturday. Texas took a 13-2 run into halftime to give itself a 15-point cushion. Vandy fought hard and showed improvement in the second half, but the early hole was too big for them to climb out. The Commodores were out-rebounded, 37-29, and allowed the Longhorns to pull down 15 offensive boards. Turnovers were also an issue for Vanderbilt, as it turned the ball over 16 times, 10 of which were Texas steals. Damian Jones led all scorers with a career-high 26 points (12-of-20 from the field) and grabbed nine rebounds to lead Vandy.
Texas A&M and Vanderbilt will meet for the sixth time on Saturday, with the Commodores leading the series, 4-1. The Aggies won the last matchup between the two squads in January of 2015, 69-58.
Below is everything you need to know about the game, including the Texas A&M vs. Vanderbilt online live stream, TV broadcast information, game notes and prediction.
Texas A&M is firing on all cylinders right now and is a force that will be too much for Vanderbilt to stop. Look for the Aggies’ length and athleticism to stifle the Commodores and thwart their long-range attack. Danuel House has been playing like one of the best guards in the country over his last few games, so expect his size and skill to overmatch Vanderbilt on his way to another 20-plus-point performance in an Aggies win.
