October 30, 2015The Tennessee Volunteers will travel to Lexington to battle the Kentucky Wildcats on Saturday night.
The Vols (3-4, 1-3 SEC) have dropped three of their last four, including last week’s close game against Alabama. Tennessee was unable to finish another game, holding a 14-13 lead deep into the fourth quarter, but a Derrick Henry rushing TD with 2:24 to play closed the book on the Vols. Joshua Dobbs (13-of-22, 190 total yards, TD) and Jalen Hurd (18 car, 92 yards, TD) led the way for Tennessee in a losing effort.
The Wildcats (4-3, 2-3 SEC) are in a funk as well, having lost two of their last three games. Last time out, they were run out of town by Mississippi State, losing by a count of 42-16. Stanley Williams turned in a nice performance with 18 carries for 95 yards, but he failed to reach the end zone. Meanwhile, Patrick Towles struggled. Although he did run in the Wildcats lone touchdown, he threw a pair of interceptions, which were converted for points by the Bulldogs.
Tennessee and Kentucky will meet for the first time in October since 1909, since the game is usually played at the end of the season. The Vols have dominated this series posting a 77-24-9 mark. Since the Wildcats broke a 26-game losing streak in 2011, the Vols have won the past three meetings.
Below is everything you need to know about the matchup, including the Tennessee vs. Kentucky online live stream options, TV broadcast information, game notes and prediction.
Kentucky will give Tennessee its best punch. The Wildcats showed against Auburn what they can do at home, but the offense isn’t there to keep up if Tennessee finally starts to put together a full, four quarter offensive performance. The Vols will win a close game in the fourth quarter. Finally.
