    Final Score: TCU 55, at Texas Tech 52

    1. In the most entertaining game of the year so far, TCU took the lead with 23 seconds to play as Trevone Boykin’s pass went off the hands of Josh Doctson and into the hands of a diving Aaron Green. Texas Tech had one final shot, but the wild final play with several laterals came up just short.

    2. Neither team had more than a one score lead. DeAndre Washington ran for four touchdowns for the Raiders with two of the scores coming in a 31-14 scoring run on the way to a 52-48 lead. TCU went 53 yards in the final minutes for the game-winning touchdown.

    3. TCU gained 750 yards and Texas Tech 607 with the two combining for 187 plays with no turnovers.

    TCU

    – Trevone Boykin completed 34-of-54 passes for 485 yards and four scores, and ran 14 times for 42 yards. Josh Doctson caught 18 passes for 267 yards and three scores.

    – Aaron Green ran 28 times for 162 yards and two scores, and caught two passes for four yards and a score.

    – Penalties: TCU 10 for 110 yards – Texas Tech 3 for 32 yards

    Texas Tech

    – Patrick Mahomes got banged up, but he completed 25-of-45 passes for 392 yards and two scores and ran eight times for 36 yards and a score.

    – DeAndre Washington ran 22 times for 188 yards and four scores and ran three times for 31 yards.

    – Jakeem Grant caught eight passes for 126 yards and a score. Devin Lauderdale caught three passes for 110 yards.
