Everything you need to know about the TCU vs. Oklahoma State online live stream and TV broadcast, as well as game notes and prediction. The No. 8 TCU
November 6, 2015The No. 8 TCU Horned Frogs will go to battle with the No. 14 Oklahoma State Cowboys in Stillwater, Okla. for a highly anticipated Big 12 matchup between two undefeated teams.
The Horned Frogs (8-0, 5-0 Big 12) are sporting a school-record 16 game-winning streak, which is also the second-longest active streak behind Ohio State (21). TCU has scored 40 or more points in its last seven games, including last Thursday’s 40-10 win over West Virginia. Trevone Boykin went off for the Horned Frogs, amounting 472 yards of total offense (388 passing, 84 rushing) and 4 total touchdowns. Josh Doctson also put up big numbers for TCU, hauling in 11 of Boykin’s passes for 183 yards and 2 touchdowns. With that performance, Doctson has joined Texas Tech’s Michael Crabtree as the only players in the last 20 years to have six straight games with at least 100 yards receiving and multiple touchdown catches. The Horned Frogs defense also played its part, holding the Mountaineers offense to 327 yards. That snapped its streak of 27 straight games with 350 total yards of offense, which was the best in the nation.
The Cowboys (8-0, 5-0 Big 12) survived a big-time scare from the Texas Tech Red Raiders last week down as many as 17 points, but Oklahoma State rallied to win the shootout 70-54. The Cowboys needed all they could get from their quarterbacks Mason Rudolph (21-of-35, 285 yards, 2 TD) and J.W. Walsh (247 total yards, 3 TD), and they delivered. Wide receiver James Washington also turned in a huge performance for Oklahoma State. He only needed four receptions to hit the 200-yard mark for the day in addition to hauling in 2 touchdowns. The Cowboys now rank No. 7 nationally in scoring offense (44.0) and 15th in total offense (502.9). OSU has surpassed 400 yards of offense in six games, 500 in four games and had a season-high 662 yards last week at Texas Tech.
TCU and Oklahoma State will get together for the 26th time on Saturday, with the Cowboys leading the series 13-10-2. Oklahoma State has not lost a game to TCU in Stillwater since 1991.
Below is everything you need to know about the game, including the TCU vs. Oklahoma State online live stream, TV broadcast information, game notes and prediction.
Oklahoma State can’t tackle. Not ignored in last week’s 70-53 defensive abomination against Texas Tech was that neither team could seem to come up with a good defensive play – even though the Cowboys came up with stops and a key pick to slow things down in the second half. The TCU defense will come through a bit stronger, and Boykin will be Boykin. TCU just doesn’t take a week off, and it’s not going to start now.
