A tattoo parlor may be one college football team's next big recruiting pitch, according to USA TODAY's Dan Wolken.
February 12, 2016As we load up and smack the champagne bottle on the “S.S. Class of 2017,” as no one will ever officially call it, it’s impossible not to be at least a little excited about another round of college football recruiting.
Sure, maybe the coaches could use a little more rest, but that’s the nature of the game. That won’t ever change.
What can change, however, are the “wild cards.” Things like campus atmosphere, the ratio of girls to boys enrolled, and the football facilities can have a huge impact on recruits. Apparently, one of those wild cards is about to improve — not the girl-boy thing either.
According to USA TODAY’s Dan Wolken, there’s a school out there exploring the idea of adding a tattoo parlor to its facility.
Heard today that one school (do not know which) has discussed putting a tattoo parlor in their football facility. The next big thing?

Just how cool would that be? Sure, moms everywhere might already have their pitchforks in hand, but ink is a big part of the millennial culture.
And as far as football culture goes, if you look clean, you’ll play great. It’s an unwritten rule.
Think about that process. Wake up Friday morning, grab some breakfast and go to class, do the walk through for Saturday’s game, get lined up at the barbershop and get some fresh ink on your traps. It’s the life of a football player.
Somewhere Jim Tressel is wishing he thought of this first.
