    Southern Miss will take its high-powered offense to El Paso to take on UTEP on Saturday night.

    The Golden Eagles are coming off their first loss of the season. Quarterback Nick Mullens has been okay this season, throwing for 737 yards and six touchdowns, but also has been picked off six times. Running back Ito Smith leads the rushing attack with 432 yards and four touchdowns. For the Miners, running back Aaron Jones has been solid, rushing for 439 yards and four touchdowns.

    • Defensive lineman Dylan Bradley continues to lead the team in tackles with 20, after registering a team-high nine against Troy.
    • Since the start of the 2015 season, the Golden Eagles have scored 40 or more points nine times, going 9-0 in those contests.

    • Since UTEP defeated FIU 33-10 on Nov. 16, 2013 in the Sun Bowl, the Miners are 7-2 in the Sun City in Conference USA contests during the Sean Kugler era.
    • Aaron Jones, a er his 67 rushing yards against Army on Sept. 17, ranks no. 3 in the nation with 439 yards behind San Diego State’s Donnel Pumphrey (599 yards) and Louisville’s Lamar Jackson (564 yards).
    • Jaquan White tallied a career-high 151 kickoff  return yards against Army on Saturday night.
    • Dayton has fumbled six times and lost three of those loose balls while it has forced four fumbles and recovered two of those.
