Shavar Manuel is going to announce his college decision between Florida and FSU on National Signing Day.
February 2, 2016National Signing Day always brings us a few surprises. Recruits flip, mothers run off with letters of intent … strange things are bound to happen.
One interesting storyline fans will want to keep their eyes on is which school 4-star defensive tackle Shavar Manuel ends up signing with.
He’s currently committed to Florida, pledging to UF just after the Under Armour All-America Game, but he apparently isn’t solid to the Gators. The other team in the running? The Florida State Seminoles.
“It’s 50-50 with both schools as of right now and come tomorrow we will find out,” Manuel told ESPN’s Derek Tyson.
Manuel is ranked as the nation’s No. 10 DT and No. 84 overall recruit, so his value to either class goes without saying.
He visited Florida State, his childhood team, this past weekend, and he’s since made a final decision.
“It’s not going to be a hard decision,” Manuel said. “It won’t be a hard decision at all.”
Come tomorrow, one of these two teams will be celebrating the addition of another top prospect and win over its arch-rival.
