SEC football predictions and schedule for Week 5 of the 2016 season. The annual rivalry game between Georgia and Tennessee highlights this weekend’s slate.
The Tennessee Volunteers finally got the monkey (Florida) off their back last weekend, and now look to string together a second straight win over a top 25 team when they travel to Athens to face Georgia on Saturday. The matchup between the Vols and Bulldogs is slotted as the CBS Game of the Week.
As for the aforementioned Gators, Jim McElwain’s team will try to get back on track against Vanderbilt in an early kickoff in Nashville. The Commodores outlasted Western Kentucky in overtime last week to move to 2-2.
In addition to No. 11 Tennessee, No. 23 Florida and No. 25 Georgia, other ranked SEC teams in action include No. 20 Arkansas welcoming Alcorn State to town, No. 9 Texas A&M traveling to South Carolina, No. 1 Alabama hosting Kentucky, and No. 16 Ole Miss facing Memphis at home.
Mississippi State is the lone team on a bye.
