SEC football at the midseason hasn't been too crazy, outside of some major disappointments in the West. Florida has been the big surprise in the East, while Alabama, Ole Miss and LSU have come up with big performances in the West. Here are the picks and predictions for the rest of the SEC season.

1. Alabama will owe Mississippi State big time. Ole Miss will run through the rest of the SEC schedule – including a thriller against LSU at home – but the West title will all come down to the Egg Bowl. Dak Prescott will cement his legacy with a win.
2. The Welcome To The SEC Defense day is coming for Leonard Fournette. Whether it’s at Alabama, or maybe against Arkansas, or possibly at Ole Miss, at some point, the 21-carry, 45-yard day is going to happen. But if he blows up at Alabama, the Heisman race is all over.
3. Missouri is going to have to scratch and claw its way to a bowl game. The two-time defending SEC East champs can’t get the offense going, and it’s going to have problems despite a not-that-awful November.
4. Auburn won’t go bowling unless it beats Ole Miss or Georgia at home, or Arkansas on the road. Idaho will be the fifth win, but it’ll be a nightmare of a time getting No. 6.
5. Tennessee will lose to Alabama, and then run through the final five games without breathing hard, just in time to once again be the hot team going into another offseason. South Carolina will try hard, but won’t win another game other than against Citadel, and Vanderbilt will be more competitive, but won’t win again the rest of the way.
