Why San Diego State Will Win

This is the run defense to stop Tyler Ervin, or at least slow him down. The Spartans have one of the nation’s hottest backs in Ervin, but no one’s running on the Aztecs lately. SDSU has allowed just 137 rushing yards over the last three games with Fresno State and Hawaii going absolutely nowhere. The Spartans will run a bit, but Ervin won’t get loose on this front seven.

Why San Jose State Will Win

Can San Diego State run the ball? The passing game isn’t there, and the points aren’t coming, so unless Donnel Pumphrey has a huge day, the Aztecs will have a nightmare of a time generating any consistent offense against the nation’s third-best pass defense.
