    Sept. 17 at Northern Illinois
    Sept. 24 OPEN DATE
    Oct. 1 at South Alabama

    Oct. 22 San Jose State
    Oct. 29 at Utah State
    Nov. 5 Hawaii
    Nov. 12 at Nevada
    Nov. 19 at Wyoming
    Nov. 26 Colorado State

Non-Conference Games: New Hampshire, California, at Northern Illinois, at South Alabama

Games vs. the Mountain: at Utah State, at Wyoming, Colorado State

    5 Keys To The Schedule

    – Can the defending Mountain West champs come out roaring? New Hampshire isn’t a totally easy opener, but that shouldn’t be a problem before dealing with Cal and Northern Illinois. The week off comes way too early in the year before going to South Alabama.

    – If the Aztecs are good enough to start out the season 4-0 – or a strong 3-1 – they should be good enough to be at least 7-0 before dealing with the showdown at Utah State.

    – The trip to face the Aggies is the first against a team from the Mountain division. There’s no Boise State, there’s no Air Force, and the Colorado State game is at home. Considering the other date is at Wyoming, that’s not bad.

    – There’s a lot of travelling over the second part of the season, going on the road for three games in four weeks with trips to Utah State, Nevada and Wyoming wrapped around a home game with Hawaii.

    – WATCH OUT FOR … San Jose State. The Spartans have a rough schedule and could be in desperation mode when they get to San Diego in late October. With the stretch of three road games in four weeks to follow, the Aztecs have to be focused.
