    1. Travis Greene ran for a 12-yard touchdown with just nine seconds to play to break a 28-28 tie and give Bowling Green its second win over a Big Ten team – Maryland being the other. It was the last answer – the two teams traded scores all game long with neither one scoring twice in a row.

    2. QB David Blough got the start and got in almost all the work for Purdue, running for a score, and finding DeAngelo Yancey for a 45-yard touchdown in the first half. He tied the game midway through the fourth on a 62-yard touchdown pass to Gregory Phillips.

    3. Greene started out the scoring with an 11-yard touchdown run for the Falcons on the opening drive, and Donovan Wilson ran for two short scores in the second quarter.

    Bowling Green

    – Matt Johnson completed 43-of-59 passes for 402 yards and a score with a pick. He also ran 11 times for 58 yards.

    – Gehrig Dieter caught ten passes for 96 yards. Travis Green ran 11 times for 70 yards and two scores.

    – Bowling Green outgained Purdue 539 yards to 426.

    Purdue

    – David Blough completed 28-of-38 passes for 335 yards and two scores with a pick, and ran 12 times for 11 yards and a touchdown.

    – Gregory Phillips caught four passes for 92 yards and a score.

    – Purdue averaged just two yards per carry, running 38 times for 77 yards.
