Projected AP college basketball rankings for the 2015-16 season. Here’s how we predict the top 25 will look.

The college basketball rankings get a little bit of shakeup this week with the UNC Tar Heels taking a tough loss on the road against the Texas Longhorns thanks to a buzzer beater from Javan Felix.

The Crosstown Shootout ended with an Xavier win, but Cincinnati may not fall that far.

Gonzaga took its third loss — second in three games — when UCLA went into Spokane, Wash. and beat the Zags, 71-66.

Both Oregon and Utah were handed road losses, and both will probably fall out of the top 25 because of it.

Below are our projected AP college basketball rankings for Week 6.

    1. Michigan State (11-0), RPI: .6581

The Spartans took care of business against Maryland-Eastern Shore, but they ran into some trouble at home against Florida. Denzel Valentine and his crew still got it done to remain unbeaten.

    2. Kansas (8-1), RPI: .6072

Two double-digit wins against Holy Cross and Oregon State were delivered as expected thanks to Wayne Selden Jr’s 18.5 points in those two games.

    3. Iowa State (8-0), RPI: .7045

The Cyclones handled Buffalo with ease, but their instate rival, the Iowa Hawkeyes, made things interesting. Iowa State still came out on top, 83-82.

    4. Kentucky (9-1), RPI: .6459

John Calipari’s team bounced back from its loss to UCLA with a 21-point win against Eastern Kentucky and a 72-58 win against Arizona State.

    5. Maryland (9-1), RPI: .5870
