Charlotte 34, Presbyterian 10 In Three Things

1. Charlotte took over in the second quarter on a 12-yard Kalif Phillips run for a score. Matt Johnson added two touchdown passes for a 24-0 halftime lead.

2. The hits kept on coming with Brooks Barden finding Bradan Smith for a nine-yard touchdown for Charlotte’s 34-0 lead after three. The 49ers dominated, outgaining the Blue Hose 468 yards to 112.

3. Presbyterian finally got on the board in the fourth with ten points, finally getting into the end zone on a one-yard Darrell Bridges run.

– Charlotte used two quarterbacks. Matt Johnson completed 8-of-11 passes for 187 yards and two scores, and Brooks Barden completed 11-of-17 passes for 77 yards and a touchdown. Johnson made more happen down the field.
