Four-star athlete Paulson Adebo committed to Stanford on Monday, giving the Cardinal 11 total commits in the 2017 recruiting class.

So far, David Shaw and his staff are having an unbelievable start to 2017. The Cardinal added a commitment from 5-star offensive tackle Foster Sarell at the U.S. Army All-American Bowl a couple weeks ago, and now Shaw’s team has made another big splash.

On Monday, 4-star prospect Paulson Adebo committed to Stanford, as first reported by 247Sports. The Mansfield, Texas native is ranked as the No. 16 athlete and No. 213 overall player in the country and will likely play wide receiver for the Cardinal.

Adebo originally committed to Notre Dame on June 20 but backed off that pledge about a week ago.

At 6-foot-1, 180 pounds Adebo has a verified 40-yard-dash time of 4.57 seconds. He’s a natural playmaker in space. If you get him the ball on the perimeter, he’s going to find a way to get up the field and break a couple of tackles.

With the addition of Adebo, Stanford now 11 total commits and sits at No. 26 in the 2017 recruiting class rankings. Shaw’s staff has now secured commitments from two Texas natives, the other one being 5-star prospect Walker Little, the No. 2 offensive tackle in the nation.

That’s right. The Cardinal have pledges from the top two offensive tackles (Sarell and Little) and the nation’s No. 1 quarterback, 5-star recruit Davis Mills. With Adebo now in the mix, things are looking up for Stanford as it sets up for a strong finish through National Signing Day on Feb. 1.
