    Oregon vs. Utah Game Preview

    When: Thursday, Feb. 16 – 9 p.m. ET
Where: Matthew Knight Arena, Eugene, Ore.
    TV Broadcast: ESPN

Oregon didn’t beat itself up after blowing a huge lead and losing to UCLA last week. Instead, the Ducks broke up Saturday’s game at USC in the second half and won 81-70 to split its road trip to Los Angeles. They once again did damage from the 3-point line, as Dillon Brooks hit 3-of-5 from long range while finishing with 21 points, and Tyler Dorsey went 4-of-8 from deep on his way to netting 19.

Oregon is one game back of Arizona for the Pac-12 lead heading into Thursday’s action and will play its next two at home before finishing the regular season with three straight road games. The last time the Ducks faced Utah they earned a 73-67 road win Jan. 26 as Brooks became an internet sensation by committing one of the most egregious flops ever seen.

More importantly, Brooks scored a game-high 19 points in that contest as Kyle Kuzma’s 18 points weren’t enough for Utah. But the Utes come into this one having won two in a row, with Kuzma recording his 15th double-double in Saturday’s victory over Washington.

Utah enters 17-8 with an 8-5 mark in Pac-12 play and could use a resume-building win for its NCAA Tournament hopes.

    Oregon Wins If …

… Jordan Bell cleans up the glass. The Ducks rely heavily on the 3-pointer, leaving the potential for plenty of rebounds clanging off the rim. Bell has totaled 29 boards over the last two games, with 11 coming on the offensive glass. Utah leads the Pac-12 with a plus-8.4 rebound differential per game, and Bell will be needed to help at least narrow that gap.

    Utah Wins If …

… David Collette takes over. Kuzma gets plenty of attention, but it’s been Collette whose been on fire lately. The 6-foot-8 forward, who played against Oregon in the first matchup after missing the previous two weeks because of concussion symptoms, scored a season-high 22 points in last Thursday’s win over Washington State before having 14 against the Huskies. Collette is shooting 62.1 percent from the field in 15 games this season, and Utah could use a big effort from him as it tries to pull off the upset.

    Matchup To Watch

    Bell vs. Kuzma

Bell’s defense and rebounding will need to be on point against Kuzma in order to help prevent Utah from hanging tough on the Ducks’ home floor.
