Oregon vs. Cal prediction roundtable with the Campus Insiders staff. Breaking down what will happen in Friday’s Pac-12 North showdown between the Ducks and Golden Bears.

Here are some stats: Oregon gives up 284.3 yards through the air, 522.3 total yards and 41.8 points per game. Those are good for 117th, 127th and 125th nationally. In other words, Davis Webb is going to put up career numbers on Brady Hoke’s hapless unit, and Cal fans will be popping bottles of Lone Pine Cabernet up on Tightwad Hill by halftime.

I feel like Vic Enwere and Khalfani Muhammad will have a little bit bigger role because Davis Webb and Chad Hansen are banged up. Webb will play, but Hansen’s status is still uncertain. Regardless, Webb will work the Oregon secondary all day long, and his go-to playmaker will be Demetris Robertson. The true freshman wide receiver is one of the most explosive players I’ve ever seen, and he’ll have a big day. Cal wins in a high-scoring affair.

Unless Brady Hoke found lightning in a bottle during the bye week, this Ducks secondary is about to get torched by Davis Webb. Cal lost to Oregon State in overtime this season, but has the firepower to overwhelm Oregon and force young quarterback Justin Herbert to play catch-up. Unless the Ducks get a monster game from Royce Freeman, I see Cal winning by two scores.

I would enjoy going on a fishing trip with Sonny Dykes and chatting about life while drinking a few beers and experiencing the outdoors. I can’t say the same for Mark Helfrich, who looks like he would get restless and force you to go on a 50-mile hike where you would ultimately run into an angry bear. This has nothing to do with the game, but I felt like you should know this. Oregon’s defense is horrific, Cal’s offense will light them up, and my friend Sonny will celebrate the victory with a nice, cold PBR.
