– Here goes the Clemson running game. The Tigers never really did enough with Wayne Gallman in the first half.
– The halftime break was a huge help … Clemson with a little more spunk.
– That pick at the end of the first half looks even more brutal now. Clemson could be up two scores if Deshaun Watson didn’t braincramp.
– The interior of the Clemson O line dominated that drive, finishing up with the Gallman touchdown.
– My 2015 Orange Bowl experience. Great game so far, killer weather, but best of all, amazing chili dog.
– Clemson 23, Oklahoma 17
– Oh no … Samaje Perine just got kissed by D.J. Reader and looked like he messed up his knee or ankle.
– No way Perine is back. He can’t put any weight on the leg.
– And now Clemson pins its ears back. Kevin Dodd roars in for a sack. Oklahoma looked as bad to start the second half as it looked good to start the first.
– I think that makes sense. I have no idea. I consumed about 2,700 calories in four minutes. I don’t really care about much right now.
– Uh oh … this is where Oklahoma might start to wilt. Clemson looks like it’s feeling it. A lot more fire and pop …
– And there’s the replay well see over and over and over again with Gallman popping off Steven Parker’s helmet.
– OHHHHH. Missed pitch by Deshaun Watson to Gallman, and Charles Tapper JUST missed recovering it inbounds.
– Watson not doing much on the move. When he’s pressured, he’s missing. Oklahoma doesn’t have to sack him – just make him uncomfortable.
– Greg Huegel from 47 yards ….
– Wide right. That’s two empty trips in the last three for the Clemson. The Tigers could’ve dropped a hammer, and didn’t.
– Uh oh … the ONE guy Oklahoma can’t lose right now other than Baker Mayfield, Joe Mixon, looks completely knocked out. He’s up and walking off, but he got rocked on a huge block.
– No way. Perine back out there. He looked like there was no way he was coming back.
– Dede Westbrook absolutely mauled on a deep pass and no pass interference. Massive break for Clemson.
– OU is all about Baker Mayfield throwing right now. And that bass.
– Just speculation, but Perine doesn’t look right. Guessing he’s out there as a decoy.
– And then they direct snap to him on fourth down and he gets stuffed.
– Again, the offenses getting too cute.
– Here’s the difference now. Clemson has a heated up Wayne Gallman, and Oklahoma doesn’t have a healthy running back. Gallman starting to take over.
– DUDE. It was right in my corner. Charone Peake … put your hands out! Clemson had a home run for a touchdown just miss, but is was called pass interference.
– Finally. Watson rolls out, gets into a rhythm, and delivers a strike to Hunter Renfrow for a 35-yard touchdown. Oklahoma hasn’t had a real answer for the Clemson offense in a long, long time.
– Baker Mayfield, time to be really, really good.
– Clemson, 30, Oklahoma 17.
– Uh oh … it’s one Clemson stop-and-score away from it being time to watch the national title … er … the Cotton Bowl.
– NICE downfield block by Perine to spring Mayfield for a huge run.
– This place is seriously the Florida branch of Death Valley. It’s crazy loud here for the Tigers.
– Game-saving three-and-out stop from the Oklahoma D.
– And there’s the sucky thing about the hurry-up tempo attack. When it doesn’t work, that’s a FAST three-and-out.
– It’s been fun. It’s going to be a desperate fourth from Oklahoma.
THIRD QUARTER: Clemson 30, Oklahoma 17
